Engaging at the forefront of innovation

Hendrix Genetics recently participated as an event partner of F&A Next 2019. This is one of the leading annual Agtech events worldwide and takes place at Wageningen Campus in the Netherlands. F&A Next is focused on sharing insights in innovation and providing a platform to invest in Food & Agriculture startups. Our innovation department attended the conference to engage with start-ups and innovators and to follow the latest developments, in particular in the field of data-driven innovations in livestock farming.

F&A Next 2019: creating sustainable food systems

F&A Next started in 2016 with the belief that innovation will be the key to sustainably feed future generations. Disruptive innovation in itself is not enough; it also needs to be implemented and transformed into tangible applications. Entrepreneurs are needed for their drive, investors for their belief and corporations for their mass impact. This year’s conference discussed the technologies and policies needed to create sustainable food systems embraced by the full value chain and the public. Transformation to sustainable food systems requires cooperation between suppliers, farmers and processors. F&A Next is about thought leadership and connecting promising startups/scaleups to dedicated investors and innovative corporates. It is one and a half day of networking, pitching and debating the latest trends in food and agriculture.

Speeding up innovations for a brighter life tomorrow

With the growing demand for sustainable, healthy and traceable food raised, the supply chain is under pressure from farm to fork. Feeding a growing world population requires innovative and sustainable solutions. In addition to our in-house R&D efforts, Hendrix Genetics has a dedicated team to work with startups on the solutions of tomorrow. Our innovation department is actively looking for startups with a working product and customer traction in areas such as smart livestock farming and advanced analytics. With our support, global network and knowledge, we help speed up innovations for a brighter life tomorrow. Going forward, Hendrix Genetics will continue to engage at these type of events to stay on top of new developments and maintain our position at the forefront of innovation.
