Thank You for Celebrating 20 Years of Hendrix Genetics With Us!
On October 14, we celebrated a remarkable milestone: 20 years of Hendrix Genetics. It was a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come, and to look ahead with excitement.
Rooted in Heritage and Shaping the Future Together
Our story began long before 2005. With roots dating to 1923 (Saazehof farm in Ospel) – and even earlier, to 1912 with the founding of the predecessor to DeKalb Genetics Corporation, origin of our DeKalb brand – Hendrix Genetics was shaped by visionary entrepreneurs and generations of breeders.
During the anniversary celebration, our CEO Richard Maatman shared a powerful message, reminding us of Aspiration 2027 and our goal of achieving top-one or top-two positions in every species. This ambition is made possible thanks to our roots, top-tier innovation, adaptability, and the strength of our global team. As Thijs Hendrix often says, “Embracing the past to catch the future.”
Thank you for your contribution over the past 20 years. When you work in animal genetics, you do not predict the future. You create it. And, together, we are able to build the next chapter of this already successful company.
A Tribute to Our Founders
This celebration was also a way to honor the visionaries behind Hendrix Genetics: Thijs Hendrix, Antoon van den Berg, and their families. For the occasion, we have created a special 20th anniversary book retracing our history and celebrating the values that continue to guide us.
The Golden Ticket Raffle: A Celebration Across Borders
Over 460 colleagues from 18 different countries joined our special Golden Ticket Raffle, sharing amazing photos and stories that brought our global community together.
