Hendrix Genetics featured in the Paine Schwartz Partners Sustainability Report 2025
At Hendrix Genetics, we believe that sustainable animal breeding can help address some of the world's most important challenges, from feeding a growing population to improving animal welfare and reducing environmental impact. We are therefore proud to see these efforts recognized in the Paine Schwartz Partners Annual Sustainability Report 2025.
As one of Hendrix Genetics' principal shareholders and a global leader in sustainable food chain investing, Paine Schwartz Partners (PSP) works with businesses across the food value chain to drive long-term value and positive impact. In this year's report, PSP highlights how Hendrix Genetics is contributing to more productive, resilient, and sustainable food systems through genetics innovation and responsible business practices.
Among the areas recognized is our commitment to sustainable animal breeding, an approach that combines productivity with animal welfare, product quality, robustness, and environmental responsibility. The report also highlights the impact of our genetics programs, with more than 9.2 million parent stock of laying hens, turkeys and pigs with improved genetics sold in 2025.
The report further acknowledges the progress we have made in strengthening our sustainability approach. Over the past year, we have taken important steps to translate our ambitions into a structured roadmap for action. This includes the development of our 2030 Sustainability Roadmap, built around three pillars that will guide our efforts in the years ahead:
PSP also highlights a range of initiatives supporting this vision, from strengthening governance and animal welfare policies to advancing environmental performance, supporting farmers through programs such as SAPPSA (Securing Affordable Poultry Parent Stock in Africa), an initiative aimed at improving access to high-quality poultry genetics and strengthening food security across Africa, and continuing to invest in employee well-being, health and safety.
