Teun van de Braak grew up in the Dutch countryside, where his passion for poultry began. As a child, Teun bred poultry in different sizes and varieties, from Sebright, to Rhea Americana chickens.

Teun completed his bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences from Wageningen University, which was followed by a masters in Animal Breeding and Genetics. After receiving his MSc degree, he joined Hendrix Genetics in 2010 as a geneticist.

There he has worked in various capacities for the laying hen, salmon, and swine businesses. His current role is Product Manager for the laying hen business. In this position, he aims to connect the field (customers and other stakeholders) with the breeding program.
